Huntingdon Behavioral Health was founded to provide psychiatric and psychological care to Floridians in desperate need of diagnoses and high quality treatment of mental illnesses.
It is our constant goal that through effective treatment patients achieve their highest level of functionality and independence. We achieve this goal due to our unique model of care, by which psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers are assigned to each facility.
While at these facilities, our psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners serve as consultants to attending primary care physicians and nursing staff. Huntingdon providers share their medical expertise through direct care, telehealth, consultation with facility staff members, psychotropic meetings, and 24/7 direct care line. This, in turn, greatly improves the quality of care for patients.
After receiving an attending physician’s order, one of Huntingdon Behavioral Health’s psychologists performs an initial evaluation.
During these evaluations, our psychologists provide therapy and behavioral management. When clinically necessary, our psychiatrists or psychiatric nurse practitioners also perform initial assessments and psychotropic medication management. Our service line does not end there, we offer a robust health system that includes leadership and operations team, regional facility liaisons, and a dedicated in house administrative and billing staff, to support our operations, partner facilities, and providers.
Our in-house employees offer 24/7 support to our providers and the facilities where they serve. These employees work with our providers to offer integrated behavioral health services for over 200 skilled nursing facilities.
By using our robust in-house network and collaborating with the facilities and patients, we are able to successfully provide consistent, long term behavioral and mental health services. This benefits not only our patients, but also the communities in which they live.
